Parental leave
Parental leave allows you to take time off work to devote yourself to bringing up your child. You will then not owe any work, but will also no longer receive a salary. Details on who is entitled to parental leave can be found in § 15 BEEG. If you are on parental leave, you enjoy special Terminationprotection. Your employer is generally not allowed to dismiss you eight or fourteen weeks before the start of your parental leave until it ends. This protection applies even if you work part-time, receive parental allowance at the same time and your employer is not aware of this. The Termination is ineffective in such constellations. Nevertheless, you must notify us within three weeks of receipt of the Termination Action for unfair dismissal raise. Otherwise the Termination as effective.
