In a TerminationIn the first instance before the labor court, each party bears its own legal costs. This means that whether you lose or win, you have to pay your own lawyer. The amount of the fee is determined either by a fee agreement or by the Lawyers' Remuneration Act (RVG). In court proceedings, however, the statutory fees may not be undercut by an agreement. If you only want advice outside of court proceedings, the initial consultation may not cost more than €190.00 if you are a consumer. If you have a Legal expenses insurance for employment law matters, this will take over your Legal fees.However, you must take out the insurance before a dispute arises. Insurance companies have a waiting period in their contracts and only cover the costs once this has expired.
