Maternity protection
The Maternity Protection Act and the associated Special protection against dismissal is applicable to all employment relationships. This also includes pregnant trainees, interns, development workers, students, pupils and participants in the Federal Voluntary Service.
The Maternity Protection Act (MuSchG) provides for an individual and a general ban on employment. A medical certificate is required for the individual ban on employment.
