Yours Employment reference should serve your professional advancement. The necessary content is different for a simple reference than for a qualified reference. It is also possible to request an interim reference. A simple reference only contains information about the duration and type of work. A qualified reference also contains information about your performance and conduct during the employment relationship. If you want a qualified reference, you must request one from your employer. The qualified reference must be worded favorably. You are entitled to receive a reference and to have it written favorably. If passages or expressions in the reference seem strange or negative to you, it is best to speak to your employer directly about this. As a rule, employers will agree to an employee's request for changes. If your employer does not agree to this or does not issue you with a reference at all, you will have to file a complaint to have the reference issued or corrected. We will be happy to help you with this.
